The snow globe is obtained as a reward from the 2016 Christmas event, as well as subsequent Christmas events. Its design is based off the original snowglobe obtained from the 2007 Christmas event, in which players obtained a snowglobe with a replica of Lumbridge Castle inside it. When shaken, the snowglobe would play a softer version of the song Harmony, create a pile of snow, and fill the player's inventory with snow.

When creating a pile of snow, if a pile already exists within that map square (8x8 game square), the new one needs to be created in another one.

If destroyed, a replacement can be obtained from Diango in Draynor Village or from the toy box of a costume room.
