Ranarr weed, commonly referred to simply as ranarr, is a herb that can be cleaned at level 25 Herblore. The herb can be grown by players with level 32 in Farming by planting ranarr seeds in herb patches. It's also an uncommon drop from various monsters. Despite being one of the lowest-level herbs available, ranarr is one of the most valuable herbs in the game, due to its role in making prayer potions.
Ranarr is one of three herbs with "weed" in its title, alongside snake weed and dwarf weed. According to Gielinor's Flora, the plant's name comes from the word "rana," meaning "eye-catching" in an ancient Kharidian language, and is considered a weed due to how fast it grows.
