The rainbow scarf is a neck slot item originally introduced as a reward from Gilbert for completing the Gilbert's Colours event in 2017. It can either be purchased from Diango's Toy Store for 120 coins, or obtained freely from Gilbert in the flower field south-east of Barbarian Village.

There are nine unique versions of the scarf representing different variants of sexual orientation or gender identity, whose colours can be changed at any time by right-clicking the "Change" option on the scarf. When switched to another style other than the pride (rainbow) style, the item is renamed to a colourful scarf.

It can be used as warm clothing for the Wintertodt. Note that the scarf is always destroyed on death; you will need to reacquire it if you die while fighting the Wintertodt.

If destroyed, a replacement can be obtained from Diango in Draynor Village or from the toy box of a costume room.

• When used with a wolf mask, a message will appear in the chatbox, stating "We see what you did there." This is a reference to Mod Wolf, who developed the event Gilbert's Colours.
• Despite the update newspost stating that the scarf will be purchasable from Diango's Toy Store after the event Gilbert's Colours is over, it remained unavailable from the store until an update on 23 November 2017.
