List of places of worship

A church is a building dedicated to worship by congregation. They are usually found in or near large settlements. Most churches also contain an altar; players can pray at an altar to replenish their Prayer points. Some churches also have an organ in them, which can be played for entertainment.

Several locations in Old School RuneScape meet the criteria for a church while holding a different title.

Monasteries are buildings of worship that are much larger in scale than a church or chapel. In addition to places for prayer, there are living quarters for the members of the building.

A temple is a place of worship that takes the form of something other than a church, which is based upon worship by congregation. Temples listed here are either referred to as such in-game, or fit the description of a temple while not taking the form of a congregational church.

Shrines are sacred constructions made to honour or worship a person or thing. Some shrines contain altars which can be used to restore Prayer points.

Several objects are also named shrine, but exist within or near a temple or shrine as well:

• Shrine of Ralos, five shrines to Ralos found around Varlamore
• Shrine of Twilight, a shrine depicting Tsak Tauli found at the Twilight Temple
• Strange shrines, found around The Stranglewood
