A display case containing an ancient coin can be found on the ground floor of the Varrock Museum (ground floor, middle row, case to the west). The display case is empty before using the ancient coin on it.

An ancient coin can be found by cleaning uncleaned finds after completion of The Dig Site, dropping at a rate of 1/17 upon successfully clearing one of soil. Filling display case number 44 of the timeline exhibit will award the player with 10 kudos.

Display number 44

A battered and bent coin with Zamorakian markings. It bears the word 'Senntisten', which we believe to be the original name of the city, Saranthium, before it was rebuilt by those loyal to Saradomin. Partial numbers on the coin would indicate that it is from the year 3740, presumably from the 3rd Age.
