A display case containing an old symbol can be found on the ground floor of the Varrock Museum (ground floor, southern-most row, second from the east). The display case is empty before using the old symbol on it.

An old symbol can be found by cleaning uncleaned finds after completion of The Dig Site, dropping at a rate of 1/17 upon successfully clearing one of soil. Filling display case number 36 of the timeline exhibit will award the player with 10 kudos.

Thought to be an altar decoration, possibly celebrating the beginning of the 4th Age when Saranthium was at its most vibrant. Lovingly crafted in silver and sapphire, it is still in good condition.
