2024 Christmas event

The 2024 Christmas event, officially A dog's not just for Christmas, is the Christmas holiday event that took place from 10 December 2024 to 8 January 2025.

Players began it by speaking to Cecilia in Falador Park. The holiday event icon displayed the location of the event on the world map and minimap.

Talk to Cecilia in Falador Park, who will explain that a group of dogs has shown up and caused havoc. She cannot let them stay, so wants to host a rehoming event to find them some new owners. She will ask that you visit Party Pete and see if he has some spare costumes for the dogs.

Party Pete is found in the Falador Party Room. Speak to him about the Christmas event, and he will be enthusiastic and ask that you host the rehoming event here, as they just redecorated the room for the holidays. You will tell him that you will ask Cecilia about it before setting things in stone, but he will reserve the Party Room for her anyway as he's confident she'll agree.

Return to Cecilia, who agrees to hold the event at the Party Room, and will then give you a list of invitations to be delivered to five invited guests. You may deliver them in any order:

Upon visiting the last person, you will be offered a teleport to the Party Room. A cutscene will then start and all the guests (except Charlie) arrive, but they cannot decide which dog to take. You'll need to talk to each guest to find out which dog would suit them best:

After picking a dog for everyone, a cutscene will begin in which the stray dog is left behind, but Charlie arrives at last. He tells you that he was held up in helping Cook with the king's birthday, and pets and gives the dog some apple slices before deciding to take him in.

Now with all the dogs in loving company, Cecilia can finally clean up the park, and will give you some of Party Pete's spare decorations and costumes as a reward.
