2026 Easter event

The 2026 Easter event, titled The brave chocolate egg, is the Easter holiday event that took place from 25 March until 23 April.

The event could be started in Varrock just south of the Grand Exchange entrance. The holiday event icon () displayed the location of the event on the world map and minimap.

Start by speaking to the Easter Bunny near the Grand Exchange entrance. Unfortunately for him, one of his chocolate eggs has gone missing. Agree to help him find the egg. He tells you the egg's name is Archibald, who is an adventurous egg that tends to wander off towards places he deems interesting. Search the note on a table for the scribbled notes that Archibald wrote. You must read the scribbled notes for every step that you obtain them, for the next step to be completable.

The first note reads "I heard there is a potion that can make me stronger!". Head to the Apothecary's shop in south-west Varrock and search the north-eastern shelves that Archibald is hiding on. Unfortunately for you, Archibald evades your grasp, leaving a second note.

The second note reads "I heard about a guy who sells bendy sticks.". Head to Lowe's Archery Emporium and go upstairs via the ladder to the 1^st floor. Search the stepladder for an egg box and unlock it with the code LOWE to find the third note.

The third note reads "I heard the view from up here is the best!". Go to the top of the Varrock church and search the wall. Before you can grab Archibald, he will fall off the wall and the fourth note will be found in his place.

The fourth note reads "I heard you can buy shiny, pointy sticks from this guy.". Go to the Varrock Swordshop and search the sword table Archibald is hiding under. Archibald avoids capture once again and leaves the fifth note behind.

The fifth note reads "I heard about an evil place of worship. Sounds cool!". Go to the Varrock Zamorakian chapel and search the chair Archibald is sitting on. He tumbles out of your hands and leaves a sixth note.

The sixth note reads "Bil noun omen.", which is an anagram of "Blue Moon Inn". Go to the 1^st floor of the Blue Moon Inn and search the bed in the easternmost room. You will find a decoy egg. Search the decoy egg to find the seventh note.

The seventh note reads "I heard there is a real king, in a court!". Go to the throne room of the Varrock Palace and search the eastern suit of armour, which Archibald is sitting on. He escapes your sight and leaves behind the eighth and final note.

The final note reads "I heard there is this massive vault of riches underground.". Go to the Varrock west bank basement, where Archibald can be found looking at the bank's vault. With nowhere left to run, you are finally able to catch Archibald.

Return to the Easter Bunny with Archibald in tow. He tells the Easter Bunny that he enjoyed his adventure so much that he wishes to travel alongside you.

Congratulations, event complete!

After completing this event players will receive:

• When Archibald falls off the wall atop the church, the player says "Here we go again." On the surface, the player is simply lamenting that the hunt must continue, but this sequence can also be interpreted as a reference to the Scrambled! quest, in which Humphrey Dumphrey, another supposedly sentient egg, falls off a wall using a similar animation.
