Weak cell tiles are objects which appear in the Guardians of the Rift minigame. They can be created by using a weak cell on an inactive cell tile. Doing so also creates a weak barrier. These barriers are used to defend the Temple of the Eye from abyssal creatures emerging from the Scar.
