Vardorvis Speed-Runner is a grandmaster combat achievement which requires the player to kill Vardorvis in less than 55 seconds without being on a slayer task.
Strategy
Vardorvis has 700 hitpoints with a Defence level of 215.
Players may choose to start each kill by procing enchanted ruby bolts with a zaryte crossbow to deal 110 damage at the start of the kill.
Players should maximise their strength and slash bonus to ensure their attacks will hit, as Vardorvis has +65 slash defence bonus. Vardorvis' Defence will decrease by 1 for every 10 hitpoints missing. If the player can afford it, bringing a bellator ring for the start and ultor ring for later can help maximise damage. Use dragon claws around the ~250 hitpoints mark so they have the best chance of hitting. A voidwaker can be used to ignore accuracy checks, but may deal less damage than claws. A dose of surge potion can be used to restore 25% special attack energy, allowing the additional use of a burning claws special attack near the end of the fight.
An ironman or low budget alternative is using an Arkan blade instead of a voidwaker (requires completion of The Final Dawn). It has a maximum hit of over 80 with best-in-slot gear, only uses 30% special attack energy and is a 4-tick weapon. The burn effect will also stack up an additional 10 damage per spec that lands. This should be used at the beginning of the fight to take advantage of the burn effect and early DPS.
A soulreaper axe is highly recommended over any other weapon, including the scythe of vitur, since the scythe's damage is reduced due to Vardorvis being a 2x2 monster. At five stacks, using an aggressive option and complete best-in-slot gear, players will have a max hit of 75 with a bellator ring, or 76 with an ultor. If the cape is downgraded to a fire cape, the max hit becomes a 73 with a bellator, or 75 with ultor.
