Stymphike tartare is a food dropped by the Maggot King. When eaten, it will heal 26 Hitpoints and poisons for 1 damage. It has a non-standard eat delay of 1 tick, meaning multiple can be consumed in quick succession. Additionally each piece consumed will delay the player's next attack by 4 additional ticks, which is also non-standard compared to the default 3 tick delay.

When leaving Vampyrium with the item present in the inventory, it will turn into rotten stymphike tartare, which can no longer be consumed. As such, if ending a trip at the boss with many stymphike tartare remaining, players may wish to make the trip back to Sangvesti to bank them so that they can be used in a subsequent trip. Attempting to eat one anywhere else however will result in the tartare rotting alongside a chatbox message stating "On closer inspection, it looks like that meat is rotten."
