Moss giants can be assigned as a Slayer task from Slayer Masters Vannaka, starting from level 40 combat, and Krystilia, at any combat level. Bryophyta can be slain in their stead.
Moss giants are located across Gielinor and most of these locations have safespots. Moss giants have zero defence against every attack style and are 50% weak to fire damage. Their most notable drops are the mossy key (required to loot Bryophyta's chest) and their somewhat valuable seed drop table. The mossy key drop rate is improved to 1/75 while slaying moss giants on task.
Bryophyta, the moss giant boss, drops mossy keys at a much higher rate of 1/8 while on a moss giant slayer task.
Moss giants slain in the Catacombs of Kourend (or the Giants' Den) may drop the dark totem pieces at a rate of 1/440 each. Like all monsters killed on task for Krystilia, moss giants also have a chance to drop the slayer's enchantment (1/272) or a Larran's key (1/533).
