Roots are found in the southern section of the Burrow beneath the Hunter Guild, near the moonlight moths and moonlight antelopes, where they are a convenient source of logs to build pitfalls with.
The logs are collected with a knife, producing the message You manage to ease some logs off the roots.; an axe is not required. They grant no experience, do not despawn and can be collected at a rate of one set per tick. If the player already has 3 or more normal logs in their inventory, they are told You already have some logs. Taking more could risk the stability of the cavern. instead. This can be circumvented by adding the logs to a log basket or a forestry basket, or by using the drop trick.
