Queen's secateurs are used in Fairytale I - Growing Pains and Fairytale II - Cure a Queen quests. They are first obtained as a drop from Tanglefoot. In part 2, you need to pickpocket Fairy Godfather to get them, which requires a level of 40 Thieving. The secateurs from A Fairy Tale I and A Fairy Tale II quests are two different items.

These secateurs cannot be wielded, or used as normal secateurs; they are purely a quest item.

You cannot obtain multiple secateurs while one is in your inventory or bank. However, through the drop trick, it is possible to obtain multiple secateurs during Fairytale II.

If the Queen's secateurs are lost before talking to the Fairy Godfather at the end of Fairytale I - Growing Pains, they can be reobtained by entering the gap in the wall next to the Cosmic Altar into the tunnels where you fought Tanglefoot. The secateurs will appear in your inventory upon squeezing through the gap.

• If the player somehow manages to forcibly drop the secateurs from A Fairy Tale I quest and obtain a second pair within Fairy Tale I, upon trying to pick-up the pair on the floor, the player will receive the message, you don't need to take those secateurs. The duplicate will then be deleted. Once the quest is completed, the player can no longer obtain the item and attempting to pick up the item will give the same message and it will be deleted.
• The spell, Telekinetic Grab, cannot be used on the secateurs from A Fairy Tale I, but it can be used on the one from A Fairy Tale II.
• Attempting to use the Queen's secateurs on various grown farming patches will result in the message: "Those look a bit too delicate to use for farming."
