The man is a mysterious green-skinned human found in a secret room in the Morytania Spider Cave. He is at the end of a series of tunnels that require multiple drops from Araxxor to navigate. When talked to, he will change a player's amulet of rancour into an ornamented silver version.

To reach the man, the player must navigate a series of tunnels within the Morytania Spider Cave, each of which have various requirements to pass through as alluded to in the venom-riddled note.

The player must have the following items: Aranea boots, noxious halberd, araxyte slayer helmet (or an imbued one), Rax pet, and the amulet of rancour.

1. Squeeze through the web tunnel to the east upon entering the Morytania Spider Cave, while wearing aranea boots and being afflicted by venom.
2. Squeeze through the web tunnels in the following order: North, North, South, South, West, East, West, East. The player must be envenomed the entire time.
3. Correctly navigating through the previous steps will end in a cave with a lone araxyte. Kill it using a noxious halberd.
   • Players without the requirements to wield the noxious halberd may kill the araxyte with rings of recoil as long as the halberd is in their inventory.
   • At this point, players may cure their venom without being ejected from the caves.
4. Squeeze through the web tunnel and speak to Vefari while the araxyte slayer helmet is equipped.
   • Players without the requirements to wear the slayer helm may instead use the helmet on her.
5. Squeeze through the web tunnel and speak to Arancini while having Nid or Rax as your follower. Your pet must be in the room with you (call follower).
6. Squeeze through the web tunnel and use the amulet of rancour on the man to obtain the amulet of rancour (s).

If the player reverts the recoloured amulet, they must redo all of the above steps if they wish to recolour it again.

• The order followed to reach the lone araxyte is known as the direction inputs of the Konami Code.
• The man's clothes resemble those worn by a Vampyre Juvinate.
