The marble burners can be built in the Lamp space of the Chapel in a player-owned house. It requires 69 Construction to build and gives 1,040 experience when built. The player must have a hammer and a saw in their inventory to build it.

The player must have a marrentill for each burner, a tinderbox in their inventory and a Firemaking level of 30 to light burners.

Lit incense burners increase the amount of Prayer experience gained when using bones with the altar in the room by an additional 50% per lit burner. Both incense burners give the same prayer experience bonus, which totals to 100% bonus experience with two burners lit.

Note that all three types of incense burners — oak, mahogany, and marble — yield the same experience bonus and remain lit for the same amount of time.

The marble incense burner can be redecorated into a Flames of Lloigh-enn-themed braziers from the Grid Master event by using the Grid master torch scroll on it. The ornament kit can be retrieved back without destroying the marble burner.

Burn duration

The duration in which burners stay lit are random and depend on the player's Firemaking level. The duration is ticks, in which is a random number between 0 and .[1]

  • At level 50, a burner would last between 250 and 299 ticks (150-179 seconds).
  • At level 85, a burner would last between 285 and 369 ticks (171-221 seconds).
  • At level 99, a burner would last between 299 and 397 ticks (179-238 seconds).

Burners will extinguish once all players have left the house. For Group Ironmen, the burners will remain lit as long as one of the group players remains in the house - this player does not need to be the owner.
