Steel candlesticks can be built in the lamp space of the chapel in a player-owned house. It requires 53 Construction to build and gives 124 experience when built. The player must have a hammer and a saw in their inventory to build it.

It requires 30 Firemaking to light.

Steel candlesticks do not improve Prayer experience gained when using bones with it, so they are purely cosmetic.

The duration in which burners stay lit are random and depend on the player's Firemaking level. The duration is ticks, in which is a random number between 0 and .^[1]

• At level 50, a burner would last between 250 and 299 ticks (150-179 seconds).
• At level 85, a burner would last between 285 and 369 ticks (171-221 seconds).
• At level 99, a burner would last between 299 and 397 ticks (179-238 seconds).

Burners will extinguish once all players have left the house. For Group Ironmen, the burners will remain lit as long as one of the group players remains in the house - this player does not need to be the owner.
