| Description | Discover the truth behind the Carnillean family fortune. Decide for yourself whether to aid the Carnilleans in retrieving stolen goods, or join the Hazeel cult members in their mission to resurrect the infamous Lord Hazeel. |

Walkthrough
- Speak with Ceril Carnillean (ground floor of the house south-west of East Ardougne castle) (

1 What's wrong? 1 Yes. - Enter the Ardougne Sewers east of the clocktower (south of Valve 3)
Use the map as a reference for the following steps. When picking a side, the reward is almost the same for both:
- Siding with Ceril will reward 5 additional coins and gives you the option to obtain Carnillean armour, although this armour has lower defensive bonuses than an iron platebody.
- Siding with Hazeel will reward the Hazeel's mark, which is a purely cosmetic reward.
Rewards may only be obtained during or upon completion of the quest, and can never be reclaimed afterward.

- Turn Valve 1 LEFT
- Turn Valve 2 RIGHT
- Turn Valve 3 RIGHT
- Turn Valve 4 RIGHT
- Turn Valve 5 RIGHT
- Head back to cave, board the raft, and talk to Alomone.
- Kill Alomone and loot the Carnillean armour from the chest.
- (Optional) If you want extra pieces of armour, multiple can be obtained using the drop trick. It can not be reobtained after the quest.
- Board the raft again and run back to the Carnilleans house.
- Talk to Ceril Carnillean (quest incomplete!)
- Search the cupboard in the room upstairs east of the staircase to find the evidence.
- Talk to Clivet to receive a bottle of poison (

- Turn Valve 2 RIGHT
- Turn Valve 3 RIGHT
- Go to the basement of the Carnilleans house (ladder)
- Use the bottle of poison on the cooking range.
- Talk to Ceril on the ground floor.
- Talk to Clivet.
- Turn Valve 4 RIGHT
- Turn Valve 5 RIGHT
- Go back to the cave and board the raft.
- Talk to Alomone.
- Go back to the Carnilleans' house.
- Talk to Butler Jones.
- Go in the basement and search the crate for a Chest key.
- Go up the ladder and stairs and knock on the wall in the east room, and go up the ladder.
- Unlock and search the chest to find the scroll.
- Return to Alomone.
- Congratulations, quest complete!
Rewards
- 1
1,500 Thieving experience
- 2,000 coins (plus 5 from the fake ending if you sided with the Carnillean family)
- Hazeel's mark (if you sided with Hazeel)
- Carnillean armour (if you sided with Ceril and obtained an extra during the quest)
- 5 Kudos, which can be claimed by talking to Historian Minas in the Varrock Museum
