A crate can be found within the remnants of Glough's airship crash site, located just outside of the entrance to the Crash Site Cavern, requiring partial completion of Monkey Madness II to access. Players may search the crate to obtain a monkey that has survived the crash. Another monkey can be obtained from the crate if the player loses their monkey or transforms it to one of the unlockable variants.
