Capybaras are animals that can be found at the Locus Oasis, Hunter Guild, on Aldarin, and in the Tlati Rainforest.

One of the capybaras in the Tlati Rainforest can be found having a picnic with a pygmy hippo calf. Performing the Sit down emote next to them will result in the capybara giving the player an orange (hat). Additionally, performing the Jig emote next to them will result in the capybara and hippo judging your moves depending on the amount of conditions met. With all four conditions met, the capybara will give you the purple token.

• Dropping Humphrey Dumphrey from the Scrambled! quest on the opposite side of the picnic
• Having four metztonalli whites in your inventory

• Ripples and bubbles that are usually only visible when submerged exist as part of the capybara model. When examined, they're highlighted with the rest of the model.
• According to Cobado, the capybaras are responsible for hiding the tokens across Varlamore.^[1]
• The capybaras with oranges on their heads are likely a reference to a viral video of a capybara with an orange on its head, at the annual capybara outdoor onsen event at Izu Shaboten Zoo, Japan.
• Capybaras with oranges on their heads had a festive override where the oranges were replaced with Christmas puddings during the 2025 Christmas event.
