The boilers are part of the Trouble Brewing minigame. During the minigame, players have to put logs in the boilers and light them with a tinderbox. Every log added to the boilers will provide the player with 100 Firemaking experience. When players do not regularly add new logs, the boilers will stop boiling and rum production will halt.
