Tentacular is an elite combat achievement which requires the player to kill the Whisperer while on the Arceuus spellbook. You can complete this combat achievement with the Whisperer's awakened variant.
Strategy
Unlike the other spells that bind a target, grasp spells will not guarantee a bind, even if the attack does not splash, unless the player uses Undead Grasp and has cast Mark of Darkness within the last 135-178 seconds, depending on the player's base Magic level. By using aether runes (alongside fire and blood runes), all runes required for casting Mark of Darkness, Undead Grasp, and Resurrect Greater Ghost can fit in the regular rune pouch. If the player has a divine rune pouch, using soul and cosmic runes in place of aether will save 273 coins per cast.
Players may instead opt to be as far away as possible from the Whisperer's location after her special attack concludes. As per the image below, the tiles north/south from the red/violet tiles will always be safe from the Whisperer's melee attacks when she tries to move towards the player, making binding her unnecessary.
If the Whisperer is about to reach the player, activate Protect from Melee; while it will not fully block the attack, it will mitigate roughly 33% of it. The Whisperer's melee hits have a max hit of 42, and whatever she inflicts as the first hit will always be dealt as the second hit. Therefore, having at least 85+ health is recommended in the event of a max hit, unprotected melee attack.
