Grasp spells | OSRS Index

Grasp spells are a category of offensive spells in the Arceuus spellbook. Requiring completion of A Kingdom Divided to use (excluding Ghostly Grasp), these spells deal damage and provide a chance to stop the target from moving for a short time; streak marks mid-animation indicate a successful bind on the target.

The bind chance of a grasp spell is doubled if the Mark of Darkness spell is active,^[1] though this will not increase the duration of the bind.^[2] However, if the target is under the effect of the Ward of Arceuus spell, they will only be bound in place for 0.6 seconds if successfully bound by the caster. Note that the chance to bind an opponent is only provided upon a successful hit, which means that a bind will not be rolled for if a grasp spell fails the accuracy roll.^[3]

An immunity period of 2 ticks (1.2 seconds) is extended to the victim of a grasp spell after the bind wears off.^[4] Wearing swampbark armour will not extend the bind duration of grasp spells.^[5]
