Phantom Muspah Speed-Runner is a grandmaster combat achievement which requires the player to kill the Phantom Muspah in less than 1 minute and 30 seconds without being on a Slayer task.
Strategy
Having a twisted bow is essentially required for the task due to its high damage and accuracy against the Muspah. The tumeken's shadow will improve chances if bringing magic swaps, but the task is relatively reliably doable with only a twisted bow, as it still hits hard in the melee phase with good accuracy rolls. If opting to not use magic, vengeance during melee phase greatly improve odds. Ideally, the player should focus most of their damage when the Muspah uses its Lightning Cloud attack, as it will not change forms until the attack ends and thus minimise the time required switching gear.
Players lacking Zaryte crossbow should consider resetting until they start the fight with a successful dragon warhammer or elder maul special attack. Reducing the defence of the Muspah greatly increases the damage of the twisted bow, and the chance of a successful smite skip. Ring of shadows upgraded with the frozen tablet makes restoring the special attack easy.
During the prayer phase, the player should attempt to skip the smite phase (for twisted bow: first hit rapid, second hit accurate, resummon a thrall before accurate hit); if that fails, switch to a crossbow with sapphire dragon bolts (e) to activate the bolts' effect, which drains the Muspah's Prayer faster along with flicking smite to further increase drain. If possible, try to lower the Muspah's health to 50 or less before phasing so minimal hits are required to kill it off.
