Jagex Clan Cup 2014

The 2014 Clan Cup was a tournament that was hosted by Jagex that took place from July 17th to August 26th 2014. Clans across Old School RuneScape competed in various player killing, monster killing, and skilling events to see which clan was the best. There were three categories of events during the cup. Rules, rosters, and results were all hosted on a dedicated website.

During the event, players could check the results of the events that have taken place at a display board in the challenge area. The winners received Clan Statues that were located on the Giants' Plateau near the original Clan Wars location. These statues were removed when Clan Wars was moved to Ferox Enclave.

PvM Cup

The PvM Cup took place in the original version of the PvM Arena, where two clans each having a team of 15 players were placed in the arena and competed with each other to fight randomly spawning bosses. The clan that dealt the most damage to a boss would receive a point, and the clan with the most points at the end of the hour would be the victor. Stud Unit emerged victorious, with SlayStars being the runners up.

Originally, there was also going to be two PvM Cups - Head-to-Head and Endurance. Endurance would have involved one clan attempting to get as many boss kills as possible before the last member died. However, due to player feedback, the Endurance cup was cancelled and only the Head-to-Head cup was run.

The third clan which made it to the final week, Flag Warriors, were disqualified after it was found that they abused a bug where dying within the maze in the Rogue's Den would result in its pause on natural stat regeneration to be kept outside of the arena, allowing for stats to stay boosted indefinitely until logout. This could be used with items like the zamorak brew and dragon battleaxe to gain their increased stat boosts over super attack and super strength potions without the drawbacks that came with them.

Skilling Cup

The Skilling Cup took place within the Skilling Arena. Each week a different skill (Mining, Fishing, Woodcutting, Hunter, and Thieving) was available to be trained within the arena, and clans had an hour for five members to collectively earn as much experience in the skill as they could. Each participating clan member could only participate in two out of the five weeks, and the same five clan members could not be used as a group more than once. Hexis emerged victorious, earning the most points in each skill out of all the clans.

Due to a bug with the big fish random event deleting fishing spots during the initial Fishing week, no scores for that week counted and it was re-ran later after the Thieving week when the bug was fixed.
