The hobgoblin champion scroll is an extremely rare drop from hobgoblins. It contains a challenge from the Hobgoblin Champion. In order to be eligible to receive the scroll, players must have at least 32 quest points and be on a members world.

By bringing this scroll to Larxus in the basement of Champions' Guild, players may fight the Hobgoblin Champion as part of the Champions' Challenge minigame. During the fight, players can only use magic or ranged attacks.

Like all champion scrolls, this scroll will be removed from the player's inventory once the challenge has been completed. It is however possible to keep the scroll by dropping it before entering the arena and defeating the champion, then picking it up after the challenge has been completed.

The best location to efficiently kill hobgoblins is at the Bandit Camp mine in level 31 Wilderness. When set up correctly, this location can yield up to 1,400 kills per hour. Although this location is a single-way combat area, utilising a safespot and Dwarf multicannon will negate this almost entirely. Players may want to bring gear with high magic defence to avoid being tele blocked by player killers so that they can escape using an eligible teleport like the royal seed pod at level 30 Wilderness.

The best location for killing hobgoblins outside of the Wilderness is the peninsula north-east of the Hosidius Vinery. A dwarf multicannon can also be used in this location, but it is less effective than the Bandit Camp mine because of the lack of safespots to negate the single-way combat. Using a cannon, high ranged accuracy equipment, and a fast ranged weapon like the toxic blowpipe will still result in the best kills per hour.

Other locations to kill hobgoblins are:

• The peninsula west of the Crafting Guild.
• The north part of God Wars Dungeon, just south of the room General Graardor is found in.
• North area of Rellekka with Rock crabs.
• North of the Hill giants in Edgeville Dungeon.
• The small room where Golrie was taken prisoner in the Tree Gnome Village dungeon.
