The General Stall is a unique thievable stall located on Ape Atoll, owned by Ifaba as part of Ifaba's General Store. A minimum level of 5 Thieving is required to steal from this stall, and the player must be in human form. A successful attempt will reward 25 Thieving experience and either a hammer, pot, or tinderbox.
The nearby monkey archers and Padulah will attack players unless Monkey Madness II has been completed. If attempting to steal when in monkey form, players will get the message You wouldn’t like to blow your cover by getting caught stealing.
If Padulah is in range he will interrupt any attempt to steal by saying "Don't you dare touch that without buying it!" (or the equivalent in the Monkey language). This can be easily avoided by standing on the south side of the stall.
Unlike most thievable stalls, the player has a chance to fail when stealing from this stall, receiving the game message You attempt to steal from the stall but you miss your chance..., though it can be tried again immediately. It is possible to steal while in the proprietor's line of sight, and after stealing he will still trade with the player instead of calling for guards.
Upon stealing from the stall, it reverts to a bamboo desk until it restocks.
