Fish food is used in the Ernest the Chicken quest, used to feed fish that members can obtain as pets, and used in a step as part of Crack the Clue III. The poison found in the kitchen of Draynor Manor can be combined with the fish food to create poisoned fish food, which is used to kill the piranhas in the fountain south-west of Draynor Manor, allowing the player to retrieve a pressure gauge needed for the quest.

It can be found on the second level of Draynor Manor in the room with the ghost, south of the stairs.

Using the fish food on mayor of Catherby will consume the fish food along with a message saying "The mayor accepts your generous donation to his campaign".
