The Strange machine is a transmutation machine invented by Professor Oddenstein. It can be found next to him on the top floor of Draynor Manor and is used to turn Ernest from a chicken back into a human during the Ernest the Chicken quest.

Trivia

Although it is currently a transmutation machine, Oddenstein claims that at various points it used to be a time travel machine, a dramatic lightning generator, and a "thing for generating monsters".
Aggie, the witch who lives in Draynor Village, says that the machine was turning people into flying fish a few years ago.
