Confusion beasts are monsters from A Soul's Bane quest. They are found in the Confusion portion of the quest. Multiple of these beasts will pop up, only one of which being real while the others are merely illusions. You will not be able to damage the ones which are illusions. They may poison you, so it is recommended bring an anti-poison.

Once A Soul's Bane is completed, Confusion beasts can no longer poison and are no longer immune as well.

Although the illusions are always hit for 0, experience is still granted as if you had damaged them.
