The burrow hole appears after the Doom of Mokhaiotl is defeated. Players may investigate it to see rewards, or descend to proceed directly to the next level.

If a Mokhaiotl cloth, Eye of ayak, Avernic treads or Dom (if you don't already have the pet) is rolled, the hole will glow yellow as an indicator that a unique item is found. Attempting to descend deeper if a unique has been rolled will give the player the warning "Your loot contains [item name]! Are you sure you want to descend further?".
