Brutal arrows are a type of arrow that can be created after Sithik Ints teaches you how to make them during the Zogre Flesh Eaters quest. Instead of arrowtips, the brutal arrows use the blunt flat sides of nails, therefore being "brutal". The brutal arrows are stronger than their regular arrow counterpart and have the bonus of being very effective versus zogres and skogres due to their bones easily crumbling beneath the crushing force, as piercing weaponry is ineffective. This ability comes at the cost of not being poisonable. Brutal arrows can also be used to hunt chompy birds.
Partial completion of Zogre Flesh Eaters is required to equip and use brutal arrows.
Note: Brutal arrows can only be fired from ogre bows and composite ogre bows. Ogre bows can only fire up to mithril brutal arrows, while composite ogre bows can fire all types of brutal arrows.
Brutal arrows
Brutal arrows are tradeable and therefore they can be bought by other players or at the Grand Exchange if you do not wish to make them yourself.

How to make
Partial completion of Zogre Flesh Eaters is required to make brutal arrows.
- Brutal arrows can only be made from special arrow shafts called ogre arrow shafts. These can be made by using a knife on achey logs from an achey tree. Each log gives 2-6 arrow shafts. After giving Uglug Nar a relicym's balm during Zogre Flesh Eaters, he will open his store which stocks 100 achey tree logs at a base price of 4 coins. Uglug's store is the best way to obtain Achey logs.
- Next, 4 feathers must be added to each shaft to make flighted ogre arrows (6 are fletched at a time).
- Finally, nails of the player's choice are added as arrow tips (6 are fletched at a time) with a hammer in your inventory.
- Fletching experience is given for each step.
