A blurite bar is a bar of refined blurite. It can be created through the Smithing skill at level 13 by using blurite ore on a furnace or level 10 by using Superheat Item on the ore, granting 8 Smithing experience. A blurite bar can be smithed on an anvil, through the Smithing skill to create blurite bolts (unf) for use in the creation of blurite bolts, or blurite limbs for use in the creation of a blurite crossbow and also to complete a task in the Falador Easy Diary when smithed on Doric's anvil.

Trivia
- It is possible to smelt blurite with Superheat Item at 10 Smithing. Attempting to cast Superheat Item without 10 Smithing yields the message You need a Smithing level of 10 to smelt blurite.
- Prior to 5 November 2025, it was possible to superheat blurite at 8 Smithing, which was reflected in the in-game guide. Attempting to cast Superheat Item without 8 Smithing at this time gave the message "You need a Smithing level of at least 8 to smelt Blurite Ore.".
- Though other blurite equipment may be smithed from bars, Thurgo does not teach the player the ability to smith a blurite sword.
