The Apprentice is one of the mercenaries at Paterdomus who needs escorting to Burgh de Rott in Burgh de Rott Ramble. He is a medium level fighter in the Temple Trekking minigame.
He wears a blue wizard hat, blue wizard top, a skirt, splitbark gauntlets, wizard boots and a team-18 cape. His choice of weapon is an ordinary staff or battlestaff, and an elemental shield as a shield. Although he is a mage, he attacks with melee.
He is one of the mercenaries drawn by the mercenary protocol enacted by King Roald during Darkness of Hallowvale. After The Blood Moon Rises, he is no longer travelling to Burgh de Rott to fight the vampyres, but rather to fight in the Theatre of Blood.

- The fact he used an Elemental shield suggests he has done the Elemental Workshop I quest, as the quest is a requirement for wielding the shield.
