Alain is a druid gardener who looks after the tree patch near the Taverley gate. He is a member of the Group of Advanced Gardeners. Alain will chop down a planted tree for a fee of 200 coins.
Since he is member of G.A.G., he can be one of the 5 gardeners players must speak to in the Fairytale I - Growing Pains quest. He also plays a role in the Garden of Tranquillity quest.
Shop
Alain also sells basic farming tools via the Farming Supplies shop, which can be accessed by talking to him and asking Can you sell me something?, or by the right-click Trade option.

Trivia
- If a player tries to use the charm option (ring of charos) on Alain, he will not succumb and will comment that if the player uses it too much, it will lead to their downfall.
- There was a glitch where, if Alain was on the coast south of the tree patch, and a player tried to make a payment for a tree, he would say, "I would but there aren't any Farming patches around here to look after."
