Thick Skin is a Prayer that the player starts with upon creating their character. Thick Skin increases the player's Defence by 5%.

Like all other stat-affecting prayers, it cannot be used in conjunction with another prayer that increases the player's Defence level, such as Rock Skin, with the notable exceptions of Deadeye and Mystic Vigour which allow for simultaneous use.

The other 5% stat-boosting prayers are:

• Burst of Strength (Strength)
• Clarity of Thought (Attack)
• Sharp Eye (Ranged)
• Mystic Will (Magic)

• While the term "thick skin" in this case literally refers to the fortification of one's body, the phrase "thick skin" also has a colloquial meaning of "being unbothered by insults or opinions of others."
