A strange barrier is found in the Ghorrock Dungeon during Secrets of the North. The barrier originally blocks entry into a prison sealed by two of the Mahjarrat, containing an unnamed powerful artefact. During the events of Secrets of the North, the assassin acquires both halves of a crest required to open the door and the strange barrier disappears.

• The emblem of the barrier is based on the imperial banner of the Holy Roman Empire, which is what the architecture of the Zarosian Empire is inspired from.
