Spec'd Out is an elite combat achievement which requires the player to kill the Thermonuclear Smoke Devil using only special attacks.
Strategy
Players can teleport out to recharge special attack energy (at a player-owned house's restoration pool or better, the Elidinis statuette in Nardah), and run back to the cave as many times as needed. The boss' health will not reset when you leave.
This achievement can be conveniently completed along with Hazard Prevention if the player walks under the Thermonuclear Smoke Devil after the first special attack and teleports out after the second.
Good weapons for this achievement include the Voidwaker, dragon claws, crystal halberds, and dragon daggers. The burning claws will disqualify the player as its burn effect is not considered special attack damage. Recoil from the ring of suffering and ring of recoil will also disqualify completion of the task.
Weapons that lower defence such as the Dragon Warhammer may be useful for speeding up the kill.
