SAS Members were unused non-player characters present in the RuneScape 2 beta. They would have appeared in the original version of Death Plateau. Presumably they would have been found in the local area under the command of Marius.

The NPCs were deleted before the end of the beta. In the final version of Death Plateau released in August 2004, they were replaced by soldiers.

Trivia

Their organisation's name may be a reference to the Special Air Service of the British Army. It is possible however that this name was merely a placeholder.
