The Pericans were a group of refugees who fled Great Kourend through the Custodia Mountains in order to escape from Xeric. The Pericans would unite with the Talkasti to found what would become present day Varlamore.

The Pericans arrived in the region after the Talkasti, with Civitas illa Fortis as their first major settlement.[1] The River Varla was an early boundary between Perican and Talkasti territory.[2]

The Pericans have intermixed with the Talkasti, though distinct aspects of their culture can still be seen. For example, Fortis is designed with Perican architecture.[3] Additionally, the name of the Tullus dynasty is Perican. [4]

  • Perican architecture is inspired by ancient Rome with Perican names being Latin.
