Ore packs are an item purchased from the Giants' Foundry reward shop for 200 Foundry Reputation. A pack contains 30 noted ores which could be any combination of the following (mainly coal): coal, iron ore, mithril ore, adamantite ore, and runite ore.

The distribution of ore types found in a pack is not influenced by Mining level in any way.[1]

On average, each ore pack is worth 5,210.04 coins, or 26.05 coins per Reputation point. The average pack contains an expected 24.5 coal ores, 3 iron ores, 1.9 mithril ores, 0.5 adamant ores, and only 0.085 rune ores.

Because the Kovac's grog has greater value per Reputation point, choosing ore packs is generally more beneficial for ironmen only.
