The preform storage is a piece of scenery in the Giants' Foundry that allows the player to leave their preform in a partially completed state. This allows the player to leave the minigame and continue with it at a later time. Placing a preform in storage does not stop the commision's timer; completing the sword a significant time later removes the timer entirely. Leaving the cave or teleporting away will automatically place the preform onto the storage, where the player can retrieve it when they return.
