Nurmof is the owner of Nurmof's Pickaxe Shop, where he sells bronze through rune pickaxes. He resides in the back of the Dwarven Mines, near the Keldagrim train cart and dwarven gang members.

Nurmof can also repair broken dragon pickaxes for a fee of 2,500,000. This is useful for ironmen accounts who don't yet have one, but is not always worth it for players wishing to sell the pickaxe on the Grand Exchange. At current prices, repairing a broken dragon pickaxe and then selling it on the Grand Exchange will bring the player a profit of −1,924,777.
