The Infernal max cape is an animation item that was temporarily equipped by the player when travelling through a Fairy ring while wearing an Infernal max cape. It is impossible for the game to render animated textures as transparent; therefore, this non-animated infernal max cape was equipped during the animation. Aside from this, the item is unobtainable.

At some point after 2018, the cape was removed. The regular infernal max cape is now wielded while going through a fairy ring, even though this produces the animation glitch. The cape can still be seen when teleporting using the Desert amulet.
