The guardian mummy runs the Pyramid Plunder minigame. Players can find him inside the Jalsavrah Pyramid in Sophanem, requiring partial completion of Icthlarin's Little Helper. The pyramid has four anonymous looking doors: one will lead the player into the room with the mummy, the other three only leading to identical rooms with no mummy inside. The correct door is completely random and changes over time. There is a possibility of being punched by the guardian mummy, displaying the message A mysterious bandaged hand punches you away from the door. Ouch!
The guardian mummy has a "Start-minigame" option to quickly start the minigame.
If a player successfully loots a pharaoh's sceptre from a Grand gold chest, annoyed guardian mummy can be briefly seen in some of the rooms saying Grrr! Someone has found the Pharaoh's sceptre!, followed by Right! That's it. I'm clearing all the urns and refilling them now. The player who found the sceptre will never see him as he immediately removes them from the pyramid.

- The Guardian Mummy is the solution to the hard cryptic clue: The King's magic shouldn't be wasted by me. Players will need to solve a puzzle box.

Trivia
- Before the release of Beneath Cursed Sands and the sceptre rework, the Guardian mummy said he would not waste the King's magic; the cryptic clue read "The King's magic won't be wasted by me" because of this.
- Using any item on the mummy other than a pharaoh's sceptre or plundered artefact gives the unique message "The Mummy is not interested in this."
