The ball is a quest item used only in Witch's House. It is found in the shed of Nora T. Hagg's garden and can be picked up after killing the witch's experiment.

It is returned to the boy to complete the quest.

Duplicates cannot be obtained. If players try to use Telekinetic Grab on the ball, the message I can't reach that! will appear in the chatbox; therefore they must fight the experiment to retrieve it. Players may re-enter the shed to fight the experiment again, but they cannot take a duplicate ball. If they try to, they will receive the message: You already have the boys ball...

After completing the quest, the ball can still be seen in the shed once it has respawned, but cannot be retrieved. This is because Nora's garden becomes inaccessible after the quest; attempting to open the door to her house will result in the chatbox message: It would be rude to break into this house.

If the player somehow manages to have a second ball on the ground outside the witch's house and tries to pick it up after the quest, the game will give the message, "Another ball! The witch must have found another one. You decide to leave this one here."
