Why Cook? is a hard combat achievement which requires the player to subdue Tempoross, getting rewarded with 10 reward permits from a single Tempoross fight.
Possible Strategies
Both the solo 5 round strategy and the solo firefighting strategy can be used to get enough points per run. The former is outlined below and will not work with the Crystal Harpoon. Note that Humidify is highly recommended for this strategy:
- Fish 17 and cook all
- Load cannon
- Fish 19 and cook all if possible before 93% Storm Intensity
- Load cannon until you are out of fish
- Damage Tempoross until approximately ~50% Essence
- Fish 19 and cook all if possible before 93% Storm Intensity
- Load cannon until you are out of fish
- Damage Tempoross until approximately ~30% Essence
- Fish 19 and cook all
- Drop all 19 fish on the ground next to one of the nearby cannons
- Fish another 19 and cook all if possible before 93% Storm Intensity
- Load all 19 fish into one of the cannons
- Pick up the 19 fish you dropped earlier and load the other cannon until out of fish
- Finish Tempoross off.
10 reward permits are guaranteed when scoring at least 8,300 points in a single game. Starting from 7,600 points, any further points increase the chance of getting 10 permits.

- The name of the achievement is a reference to the phrase "Y fletch," which is commonly spammed at Wintertodt, a similar skilling boss.
