The useful rock is an unobtainable item possibly added for Jagex moderators to test Treasure Trails in some capacity. It has the same appearance as the pet rock. When right-clicked, it has "Elite", "Master", and "Assessment" options.

- The name is a reference to the Pet rock, which is referred to in the game files as a "Useless rock".
- The choice of name may also be a reference to Jagex moderator Mod Roq who used the name Useless Roq online.
