Terrible Parent is a grandmaster combat achievement which requires the player to kill The Nightmare in a solo encounter without the Parasites healing her for over 100 health.
Strategy
Parasites only appear in phase 2, so clearing it quickly will prevent too many of them from spawning, though the phase itself can take quite a while due to the Nightmare's durable shield and totems. The parasite will burst from the player in 4-5 of their attacks (depending on weapon used), so it is recommended to walk underneath the Nightmare so that the parasite will not be able to heal her right away.
Drinking Relicym's balm or Sanfew serum is required before the parasite spawns as it will reduce their combat stats significantly, making them easier to kill. The parasite will have 40 health.
Several alternative methods may be more efficient, such as stepping under the parasites and attacking with the dragon claws special attack, since unlike its hard mode variant, weapons on crush will not max hit the parasite.
