The strange passage is a shortcut between Forthos Dungeon and the Catacombs of Kourend.

At first it appears to the player as a strange wall, which can only be examined. To unlock the shortcut to the Catacombs, players must first climb the vine that is located in the south-east corner of the Catacombs.

• The examine text of the stranger passage is likely a reference to the TV show Stranger Things, which involves another realm called the Upside Down.
